Eunice B. Jackson Believe in Education Scholarship

Education is the cornerstone of our community. Ms. Jackson was a beloved Oakland teacher and believed education is a lifelong journey. The PBC is the beneficiary of a generous bequest from the late Eunice B. Jackson, mother of PHHS alumni and teacher Kenneth Jackson, which enables us to provide even more support for our students into their college career. We are proud to offer this scholarship to support the next generation of learners.

Who may apply?

The PBC is proud to support education and the pursuit of higher education. As part of our commitment to fostering academic excellence, we award three annual $1000 scholarships to first-generation college-bound students in the AVID program. Our scholarship application process is designed to challenge applicants and encourage them to reflect on their achievements and aspirations. Every year, we look forward to reading the essays and learning about the inspiring journeys of the students who apply.
